      What our lovely retreaters say...

“Any hopes and expectations I had were all exceeded beyond any level I could have imagined. The wonderful venue was warm and very comfortable in a perfect coastal location. The food was exquisite!

I got so much from the Pilates sessions, my body is extremely thankful for the sessions all delivered expertly and with individual help and support by Joanne and Kate.

I've cried, I've laughed, I've laughed until I cried! I've met some very special ladies who I'm now privileged to call friends.”

“I just wanted to let you know how much I loved every minute of it.

You are such experienced, nurturing, supportive teachers and I just don’t know how you managed to keep an eye on everyone in the class - making sure that we were all safe but working to our potential at the same time.

All of the guests were supportive, non-judgemental, friendly and caring.  Such a wonderful group of people.”

Meet your Pilates Teachers & Hosts

      Joanne

Joanne discovered Pilates in 2006 following spinal surgery - it helped her body recover and cope with the stresses of an international corporate career.

Five years later, she stepped out of corporate life and embarked on a two-year fully comprehensive teacher training course with Pilates Foundation, qualifying as a 4th generation Pilates teacher.

Joanne set up her first Pilates studio in 2012. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with severe arthitis and underwent the first of her hip replacement surgeries. Once again, Pilates came to the rescue enabling her to fully rehabilitate her hips post-surgery.

Joanne now operates The Pilates Hub studio in Clitheroe. She has a passion and gift for helping others feel more comfortable in their own bodies and specialises in rehabilitation.

      Kate

Kate didn’t start out as a Pilates Teacher - she started out as someone who needed Pilates. Decades hunched over a screen creating brands and websites had affected her posture, and injuries were plaguing her active pursuits, so she turned to Joanne and Pilates for help.

It was a game-changer - helping her rehabilitate and become stronger and more connected to her body than ever.

Kate’s passion for Pilates grew and she qualified as a Level 3 Pilates Mat Teacher in 2023. She continues to develop her breadth of knowledge with invaluable mentorship from Joanne.

Kate loves introducing people to Pilates. She meets her clients where they are, guiding them through the fundamentals so they can master the method and rediscover their bodies’ potential.

      Meet your Private Chef

We’re delighted to introduce Aimee from Earthly Feasts. She’s our culinary wingwoman, who will support our bodies between Pilates sessions with wholesome plant-based food to make our tastebuds tingle.

Aimee is local to Anglesey and a former restaurant head chef. With her background in fine art, Aimee will treat us to plates of food that look as good as they taste.
